FLL Global Innovation Voting Results

The SNB team has received 423 votes. The three finalist teams will be contacted by phone in early April. Public announcement of the finalists will be made after all three finalist teams are notified. The one winning team and two runners-up will be named at the awards ceremony on June 18, 2013.

FLL 2012 Senior Solutions 490 points - BC Championship

Super Ninja Bunnies, the winner of the FLL 2012 Senior Solutions robot performance award at the British Columbia provincial championship. This is their best run: Round 4. They scored 490 points out of a maximum of 580 (if they got a strike on bowling).

Here is their program sequence: 

Run 1: TV, yellow quilts, blue quilts, dog - possible 130 points, scored 110

Run 2: Cardio, bowling, TV, shopping bags - possible 125 points, scored 55

Run 3: Similarity, ball game, gardening, stove, chair - possible 230 points, scored 230

Run 4: Cardio, strength, transition - possible 95 points, scored 95

Totally the team scored 490!

FIRST Lego League BC Championships live - Senoir Solutions

The FIRST Lego League is an international competition for students from age 9 to 14. This year's theme was "Senior Solutions". Each year, BCIT hosts the FIRST Lego League BC championships.

Team Tip from SNB - Use Stickers as Giveaways

This year is our rookie year. We didn't have a good idea how much we would spend so we had to control the cost. We wanted to give out some small items at the regional championship tournament. Buttons seem to be the tradition. Most of the giveaways seem to be buttons. After the study, the decision was made that we use stickers which is even cheaper. We bought a pack of Avery Sticker Project Paper White at Staples, designed the grahics by using Adobe Photoshop, printed them by using a HP deskjet color printer. We used them at the regional championship tournament. Kids gave them out and everyone loved them.
